I came to Japan after graduating from High School in Switzerland about two years ago. During that time I studied at Arc Academy in Osaka.
The reason why I came to Japan is that I have a boyfriend who grew up in Osaka. Even though he is fluent in English, it was important for me to study the language of the country I live in, in order to integrate myself into its community.
Looking back, I am glad that I chose Arc Academy for my studies.
The curriculum at Arc Academy is though and relatively fast paced, but that is exactly the way it should be if you want to speak and read a decent level of Japanese in 1.5 to 2 years. I also want to point out the amazing teachers and the staff at Arc Academy. The teachers will be there to answer your questions any time (before, during or after class).
The staff has always been great help with questions regarding visa, working, further studies, insurances and more.
Last but not least I want to say that Osaka is a great city to both live and study in! It is super safe, people are very friendly, the food is amazing and there are a lot of great things to do in and around Osaka! (Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and Himeji are easily reachable by train!)
